Job summary

Kids & Company in Calgary, AB, is seeking an Early Childhood Educator to work as a 1:1 aide, supporting a child’s emotional, social, cognitive, and physical development. You will collaborate with specialists and staff to maintain a safe, engaging classroom and meals to match dietary needs.

The role requires ECE Level 1 certification, a valid criminal record check, and CPR/First Aid. This is a full-time position with comprehensive benefits and opportunities for growth.

Qualifications

• Excellent written and verbal communication with children, parents, and staff.
• Ability to use computer systems for documentation and reporting.
• Strong collaboration and teamwork skills; able to take initiative.

Responsibilities

• Assist as a 1:1 aid to a child.
• Support emotional, physical, and behavioural well-being and development.
• Maintain attendance records and health and safety checks.
• Collaborate with Speech Therapists, Occupational Therapists, and Early Interventionists as needed.
• Assist with transitions in and out of the classroom.
• Participate in team meetings, workshops, and PD opportunities.
• Prepare and serve snacks/meals following procedures.
• Accommodate dietary restrictions and allergies per guidelines.
• Ensure proper food storage and hygiene and sanitize equipment.
• Maintain a safe, clean, welcoming centre environment.
