Job summary

Bird Nason Contracting Group is seeking a By Hand Welder with stainless steel experience for a project at DOW Chemical UPI scope in Fort Saskatchewan, AB. The role offers 14/7 rotation with both night and day shifts and benefits per the collective agreement.

You will perform precise stainless steel welds, verify quality, and coordinate with pipefitters, apprentices and shop crew to maintain efficient workflow while mentoring junior welders. CSTS/WHMIS and strong safety focus are essential.

Qualifications

• Journeyperson Welder certification and CWB certification are required.
• Industrial welding experience with stainless steel is essential.
• Ability to meet production welding targets and maintain safety standards.
• Mentor apprentices and work collaboratively with trades on site.

What We are Looking For

• CSTS 2020
• WHMIS 2015
• A valid Journeyperson Welder Certification and CWB Certification (Red Seal/recognized trade ticket required)
• Industrial Welding Experience
• Demonstrated ability to meet or exceed production welding targets.
• Commitment to quality, safety, and teamwork.
• Extensive knowledge of the occupational hazards and safety precautions applicable to the work
• The ability to lift, carry and handle weight up to 50lbs
• Must be organized, self-driven, and have ability to understand and execute oral and written instructions
