Job summary

Bird Nason Contracting Group is seeking local Apprentices and Journeyperson Pipefitters for our DOW Chemical UPI project in Fort Saskatchewan, AB. Location: Fort Saskatchewan with a 14 days on / 7 days off rotation and 10 hours per day.

Responsibilities include process piping, installation, and hydrostatic testing while upholding EH&S and OH&S standards on site. Must hold Journeyperson or Apprentice certificate and related safety training certificates (CSTS 2020, WHMIS 2015, ESC Fall Protection,

Qualifications

• Journeyperson or Apprentice certificate required.
• CSTS 2020, WHMIS 2015 and related safety trainings required.
• Experience on major industrial project sites; ability to lift up to 50 lbs.

• Process piping and equipment installations.
• Threading, cutting, grooving, bending, and measuring piping.
• Work with plans and specifications to determine layout and installation requirements.
• Hydrostatic testing of installed piping systems.
• Ensure EH&S and OH&S compliance on site.

What You Will Be Working On

• Extensive knowledge of the occupational hazards and safety precautions applicable to the work
• Experience on major industrial project sites
• The ability to lift, carry and handle weight up to 50lbs
