Job Summary

IPG is seeking a remote Business Development Executive - Regional to drive growth and identify new business opportunities in Canada. Responsibilities include prospecting, pipeline development, and building relationships with brokers and consultants to sell pet insurance as a worksite benefit. The role involves selling products directly to customers and transitioning accounts to a Relationship Manager for ongoing service. Ideal for a proactive hunter focused on expanding market presence.

Job Location

Remote work is not available in Quebec, Nunavut, NW Territories, Yukon (Canada).

Main Responsibilities
  • Develop new accounts and generate new business from existing accounts.
  • Visit customer sites within assigned territories.
  • Implement sales strategies, identify new leads, and generate reports.
  • Achieve sales goals through direct sales and broker partnerships.
  • Prepare RFPs and RFIs tailored to customer needs.
  • Stay updated on industry trends and competitors.
  • Attend trade shows, exhibitions, and meetings.
  • Customize sales presentations to explain pet insurance benefits.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.
Basic Qualifications
  • 6+ years in group voluntary insurance benefits, sales, or relevant experience.
  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience.
Licenses/Certifications
  • Provincial Property & Casualty License or obtain within 6 months of hire.
  • Maintain reciprocal licenses across Canada (except Quebec).
Other Requirements
  • Travel up to 70% within the territory.
  • Valid driver’s license and vehicle insurance.
  • Valid passport for U.S. travel.
