As the department's workplace technology lead, the position oversees or develops the systems, processes, policies, and training required to effectively manage and use departmental technology assets in a cost-effective manner. The role also supports the successful delivery of projects and technology services while ensuring alignment with departmental and government priorities.

Qualifications

Essential:

  • Post‑secondary education in computer science, information systems, or related field. An equivalent combination of education, training, and experience may be considered.
  • Experience with business analysis including analyzing and defining business requirements, developing business cases and identifying strategic processes and technological solutions.
  • Experience coordinating and managing projects, including project planning, scheduling, stakeholder communication, and tracking deliverables.
  • Ability to lead and support change management initiatives, including planning, implementing, and communicating organizational or process changes.
  • Excellent verbal communication skills.
  • Excellent written communication with the ability generating business requirement documents, charters and reports.
  • Strong interpersonal skills including the ability to develop and maintain positive working relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Experience and proficiency with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio, Teams, Copilot) or other equivalent programs.

Desired:

  • Knowledge of government policies and procedures contained in the Financial Administration Manual, the General Manual of Administration and other central / corporate policy documents.
  • Professional training and/or certification in business analysis and/or project management
