Job summary

The Manitoba government seeks a dynamic Technical Lead within the Innovation and New Technology department to steer design, delivery, and maintenance of business solutions that align with organizational goals.

You will work with stakeholders to translate needs into functional and technical specifications and provide leadership to application development teams, bridging business and technology to deliver practical, efficient solutions.

Qualifications

• Post-secondary degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience may be considered.
• Experience in business analysis, systems analysis, application support, or solution architecture for complex information systems.
• Experience developing solution estimates, including resource requirements, infrastructure requirements, long-term support requirements, and budget considerations.
• Experience documenting use cases, functional and technical specifications, work plans, business cases, solution proposals, and architecture-related documents.
• Experience working with a variety of software development languages, tools, methodologies, standards, architectures, and integration patterns.
• Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work in a team environment and provide technical leadership and guidance to a team of professionals.
• Excellent written communication skills with the ability to create a variety of reports and documentation.
• Excellent verbal communication skills with the ability to communicate effectively with stakeholders at all levels of an organization
