Job summary

iA Financial Group in Quebec is seeking a Business Analyst to turn business needs into automated, AI-enabled solutions in collaboration with partners across IT and business units. The role emphasizes discovery, process mapping, and clear requirements definition in an agile environment.

You bring a bachelor’s degree in a related field and at least five years in life insurance or a similar technology-delivery role, along with strong analytical, documentation, and bilingual English-French

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Information Systems, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • At least five years of experience in the life insurance industry or in a similar technology-delivery role.
  • Intermediate level of English and advanced level of French proficiency for bilingual collaboration.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with business partners to understand challenges, needs, and objectives.
  • Lead discovery, analysis, and requirements-definition workshops.
  • Map and analyze current processes to identify opportunities for optimization, automation, and the use of artificial intelligence.
  • Translate business needs into clear and prioritized requirements and contribute to design of business-aligned solutions.
  • Analyze impacts, dependencies, risks, and expected benefits while defining acceptance criteria.
  • Participate in Agile team activities and collaborate with developers, IT analysts, and architects.
  • Support delivery planning activities in Azure DevOps and ensure alignment between business needs, solutions, and deliverables.
  • Participate in user acceptance testing and support adoption of implemented solutions.
  • Contribute to benefit realization and the continuous improvement of delivery practices.

Holds a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Information Systems, Computer Science, or another relevant field and possesses a minimum of five years of experience in the life insurance industry or in a similar role related to the delivery and evolution of technology solutions. Intermediate level of English and advanced level of French proficiency since the incumbent will be required to participate in presentations and meetings, as well as read and create documentation with internal unilingual English-speaking and French-speaking partners and executive leadership on a regular basis.
