Job summary

iA Financial Group in Canada is seeking an experienced Underwriter to assess risks for disability, life and critical illness insurance applications. You will support underwriting decisions aligned with risk and profitability objectives in a collaborative, innovative environment.

You will analyze medical and non-medical information, apply guidelines, and communicate with clients and advisors to obtain information and clarify issues, while handling high volumes with accuracy and timeliness.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 2 years of underwriting experience in individual disability insurance.
  • Experience in individual life insurance and critical illness insurance.
  • Intermediate English proficiency.
  • Ability to analyze case files, including medical reports.
  • Ability to manage high volumes of work while meeting deadlines.
