Qualifications

  • Undergraduate degree in Civil Engineering from an accredited institution.
  • Civil Engineering or Architectural Technology Diploma from an accredited institute.
  • 3+ years of related work experience in bridge inspection or inspection-related roles.

Responsibilities

  • Work on a wide array of bridge projects in Edmonton and beyond.
  • Perform bridge inspections, reporting, and construction inspection for rehabilitation and new bridges.
  • Contribute to CAD design work for bridges as needed.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams across the office and field.
  • Grow and mentor junior staff within the transportation structures practice.

What you’ll be doing:
  • You will have an opportunity to work on a wide array of bridge projects.
  • Depending on the candidate, the position may include completing bridge inspections and reporting, completing CAD design of bridges, and providing construction inspection for bridge rehabilitation and new bridge construction.
  • You will engage in a collaborative work environment with your team, as well as other disciplines and offices.
  • This opportunity will involve growing and mentoring staff, working with senior staff to grow the transportation structures practice.
Does this sound like you?
  • Undergraduate degree in Civil Engineering from an accredited post-secondary institution or Civil Engineering/Architectural Technology Diploma from an accredited technical institute.
  • Class B Bridge Inspector Certificate.
  • Class A Inspection designation is an asset.
  • 3+ years of experience.
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Superior planning and organizational skills with the ability to work under pressure.
  • Committed team player and highly self-motivated.
  • Consulting experience is an asset.
  • This position will require travel throughout Alberta.
  • Valid driver’s licence.
