Associated Engineering in Edmonton is seeking an experienced Transportation Engineer to lead highway and road projects. The role offers a hybrid work arrangement and opportunities to advance in technical leadership and project management within Canada.

Qualified candidates have a Civil Engineering degree, 4+ years in transportation, and provincial licensure (APEGA). Strong communication and teamwork are essential for success in this role.

Qualifications

• Undergraduate degree in Civil Engineering with transportation electives or project experience.
• Minimum 4 years of transportation experience including Alberta Transportation & Economic Corridors.
• Registered Professional Engineer with APEGA.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Excellent organizational and time management abilities.
• Committed team player and able to work independently.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Ability to travel within Canada.

Responsibilities

• Develop a career path focused on technical leadership, project management, or client management.
• Conduct site investigations, prepare project designs, and tender documents for road rehabilitation projects for Alberta Transportation and Economic Corridors.
• Experience with construction supervision and contract administration.
• QA/QC of reports, quantity estimates, and construction drawings.
• Design collaboration and ensuring implementation and compliance of company and client standards and procedures.
• Assisting other Technologists, Designers, and Engineers.

In this role you will be responsible for transportation projects with a focus on highways, roads, and transportation-related infrastructure. What you’ll be doing:

• Conducting Site investigations, preparing project designs, and preparation of tender documents for road rehabilitation projects for Alberta Transportation and Economic Corridors.
• Experience with Construction supervision and contract administration.
• QA/QC of Reports, Quantity Estimates, and Construction drawings.
• Design collaboration and ensuring implementation and compliance of company and client standards and procedures within the scope of assigned projects.
• Assisting other Technologists, Designers, and Engineers.

Does this sound like you?

• Undergraduate degree in Civil Engineering from an accredited post-secondary institution, with key transportation electives or transportation project experience.
• Minimum 4 years of transportation experience including experience with Alberta Transportation and Economic Corridors.
• Registered as a Professional Engineer with APEGA.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.
• Excellent organizational and time management skills.
• Committed team player and the ability to work independently.
• Valid driver’s licence.
• Ability to travel within Canada.
