Job summary

Associated Engineering in Edmonton is seeking an experienced Transportation Technologist to join our highway and transportation team. You will work with engineers and technologists on design and inspection projects for public and private clients, focusing on roads and related infrastructure.

The ideal candidate has a Civil Engineering Technology diploma, 6+ years of roadways design/construction experience, and proficiency in AutoCAD/Civil 3D, with strong communication and teamwork skills.

Qualifications

  • Civil Engineering Technology diploma from an accredited technical college.
  • 6+ years of progressive experience in design and construction of roadways projects.
  • Experience with highway rehabilitation design and construction for Alberta Transportation and Economic Corridors.
  • Proficiency in roadway design using AutoCAD and Civil 3D an asset.
  • Experience with quantity calculations and cost estimating; tender document preparation experience is an asset.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct Site investigations, preparing project designs, and preparation of tender documents for road rehabilitation projects for Alberta Transportation and Economic Corridors.
  • Gain experience with Construction supervision and contract administration.
  • QA/QC of Reports, Quantity Estimates, and Construction drawings.
  • Design collaboration and ensuring implementation and compliance of company and client CAD standards and procedures within the scope of assigned projects.
  • Assist other Technologists, Designers, and Engineers.

What You’ll Do
