Job summary

Gap Inc. in Canada is seeking an engaging retail associate who will connect with customers by delivering outstanding service and sharing product knowledge to inform and inspire purchases. You will promote current merchandise, store promotions, and events while upholding store standards and brand promise.

As a team member, you will learn the brand selling behaviors, support store leadership, and help create a premium customer experience that builds brand loyalty and productivity.

Qualifications

• Experience delivering customer service in a fast-paced environment.
• Able to communicate clearly and listen actively.
• Knowledge of Gap Inc products and promotions is a plus.

Responsibilities

• All associates are expected to become experts of the brand’s selling behaviors, leveraging these behaviors with every customer who walks through our doors and allowing us to provide a premium customer experience.
• Serve as a role model to achieve priorities in store, with the customer as the primary focus
• Support the store leadership team to collaborate effectively with employees and ensure work tasks are completed in a timely and efficient manner
• Build and share expertise in an assigned specialized functional area
• Support completion or work processes before or after the store closes as needed inclusive of opening and/or closing the store
• Listen and ask questions to solicit feedback to understand needs and provide service
• Handle unique or complex customer interactions
