Job summary

Gap Inc. in Canada seeks a customer-focused associate to engage customers with fashion expertise, educate them on current merchandise and promotions, and deliver exceptional service. You’ll use store displays for inspiration, support sales flow, and help build brand loyalty through enthusiastic, knowledgeable interactions.

You will collaborate with teammates to ensure a smooth customer experience across in-store and online channels, while continually learning and improving processes.

Qualifications

• Completed job readiness training with Gap Inc’s nonprofit partners.
• Effective communicator with the ability to engage with customers and team to meet goals.
• Problem solver with a focus on continuous improvement and openness to feedback.
• Ability to handle customer interactions courteously and professionally.
• Willingness to learn procedural knowledge from on-the-job training.

Responsibilities

• Acknowledge and assist customers; locate merchandise efficiently using various methods; answer questions quickly and accurately
• Offer style and outfit suggestions to the customer, using mannequins and displays for inspiration
• Promote loyalty by educating customers about our loyalty programs
• Leverage omni channel offerings to deliver a frictionless customer experience
• Support sales floor, fitting room, checkout, back of house, processes as required
• Courteous and responsive to internal/external requests
• Exchange and verify job related information to provide support
