Job summary

Scotiabank is seeking a Branch Manager for the Mission City Branch in Mission, BC. The role focuses on leading a team to deliver financial advice, grow personal and business portfolios, and ensure risk is managed while aligning with Bank policies and initiatives.

The successful candidate will coach staff, build client relationships, and work toward achieving strong branch performance with a focus on customer experience and compliance.

Qualifications

• Experience as a people manager and the ability to engage your team.
• Experience in both personal and small business banking.
• Solid sales management experience and the ability to market Scotiabank.
• Ability to build strong relationships focused on providing a great client experience and growing relationships with existing customers.
• A license to sell mutual funds.
• Successfully completed the CIFP Diploma in Financial Planning (or Bank recognized equivalent).
• Completed the educational requirements needed to assume the role of Branch Compliance Officer.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop a team to build and strengthen customer relationships through financial advice.
• Coach the team through training and observation to drive branch success.
• Manage and minimize the Bank’s exposure to risk.
• Oversee implementation of Bank policies, practices, and initiatives.
• Contribute to achieving profitable growth and retention of personal and business portfolios.
