Job summary

Priority Patient Transfer is seeking 1 Full-Time Patient Transfer Attendant in Ottawa, ON. You will transport patients safely and provide excellent customer service, with strong English communication and a safety-first mindset.

Position requires certifications listed above, a valid G license, ability to lift 250+ lbs, and a clean driving and criminal record. Training and immunization requirements are provided or supported by the employer.

Qualifications

• Must possess one of the listed certifications.
• Valid BLS certification is required.
• Valid G class driving license.
• Ability to lift 250+ lbs with a partner.
• Fluent English, in verbal and written form.
• Clean driving record and ability to obtain a clear criminal record search.
• Up-to-date immunization records as specified (MMR, DPT, Polio, Varicella, Hepatitis B, COVID-19, TB test).

Job description

Priority Patient Transfer is hiring 1 Full-Time Patient Transfer Attendants for our Ottawa, ON Location.

Your Role

• You are responsible for the safe transport of patients via stretcher/wheelchair to/from a healthcare facility, nursing home, or private residence
• You can provide outstanding customer service
• You have excellent communication skills

Your Profile

You must possess the following qualifications:

• You have a valid First Responder Certification OR Advanced Emergency Medical Care Assistant Certification OR are working towards a Paramedic Diploma (must be finished year 1) OR are a Fire Fighter with Emergency Medical Responder Certification (please note, we provide training for First Responder if needed)
• You have a Valid BLS Certification (please note, we provide BLS training if needed)
• You possess a valid G class driving license.
• You have the ability to lift 250+ lbs. using a stretcher or stair chair with partner.
• You can effectively communicate in both verbal and written English.
• You are a safe driver with a clean driving record
• You can obtain a clean criminal record search with vulnerable sector screening
• You have up to date immunization records and can provide the following records of: MMR, DPT, Polio, Varicella, Hepatitis B, COVID-19 (2 doses), TB Skin Test (Step 1) *must be valid within last 12 month.
• You are comfortable with 12hrs shifts
• You have night and weekend availability if requested.
