Job summary

Voyago is hiring a Part-Time Patient Transfer Attendant in Chatham, Ontario. You will transport patients safely by stretcher or wheelchair between healthcare sites and residences, while delivering excellent customer service and clear communication.

The role is unionized and offers a competitive hourly wage of 20.01 CAD with a Wednesday-to-Friday shift pattern and flexible availability. A path for growth and ongoing training is highlighted.

Qualifications

• Valid First Responder Certification OR AEMCA or paramedic year 1 completed or firefighter with EMR.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required.
• Valid G class driving license is required.
• Ability to lift 250+ lbs with assistance using stretcher or chair.

Voyago is hiring 1 Part-Time Patient Transfer Attendant, to fill an existing opening, in Chatham, Ontario.

Your Role

• You are responsible for the safe transport of patients via stretcher/wheelchair to/from a healthcare facility, nursing home, or private residence
• You can provide outstanding customer service
• You have excellent communication skills

The Patient Transfer Attendant in Chatham is a unionized position.

Hourly Wage: $20.01/hr

PT Shift: Wednesday to Friday, with open availability throughout the week

Your Profile

You must possess the following qualifications:

• You have a valid First Responder Certification OR AEMCA, OR are working towards a Paramedic Diploma (must be finished year 1) OR are a Firefighter with Emergency Medical Responder Certification.
• We require Basic Life Support certification (HCL level)
• You possess a valid G class driving license.
• You have the ability to lift 250+ lbs. using a stretcher or stair chair with partner.
• You can effectively communicate in both verbal and written English.
• You are a safe driver with a clean driving record
• You can obtain a clean Criminal Record Search with Vulnerable Sector screening
• You have up to date immunization records and can provide the following records of: MMR, DPT, Polio, Varicella, Hepatitis B, COVID-19 (2 doses), TB Skin Test (Step 1) *must be valid within last 12 month.
• You have successfully completed High School or can provide proof of equivalency or post-secondary diploma
