Job summary

Voyago in Chatham, Ontario is seeking a Part-Time Patient Transfer Attendant to safely transport patients to and from healthcare facilities, nursing homes, or private residences.

You will provide outstanding customer service with strong communication skills while working in a unionized environment. The role offers a Wed-Fri shift pattern with open availability across the week and pays $20.01 per hour.

Qualifications

• Valid First Responder Certification or AEMCA or working toward Paramedic Diploma (year 1)
• Basic Life Support certification (BLS)
• Valid G class driving license
• Ability to lift 250+ lbs with partner using stretcher/stair chair
• Effective verbal and written English communication
• Safe driving record with a clean history
• Clean Criminal Record Search with Vulnerable Sector screening
• Up-to-date immunizations: MMR, DPT, Polio, Varicella, Hepatitis B, COVID-19 (2 doses), TB skin test valid within 12 months
• High School diploma or equivalent or post-secondary diploma

Voyago is hiring 1 Part-Time Patient Transfer Attendant, to fill an existing opening, in Chatham, Ontario.

Your Role

• You are responsible for the safe transport of patients via stretcher/wheelchair to/from a healthcare facility, nursing home, or private residence
• You can provide outstanding customer service
• You have excellent communication skills

The Patient Transfer Attendant in Chatham is a unionized position.

Hourly Wage: $20.01/hr

PT Shift: Wednesday to Friday, with open availability throughout the week

Requirements

Your Profile

You must possess the following qualifications:

• You have a valid First Responder Certification OR AEMCA, OR are working towards a Paramedic Diploma (must be finished year 1) OR are a Firefighter with Emergency Medical Responder Certification
• We require Basic Life Support certification (HCL level)
• You possess a valid G class driving license
• You have the ability to lift 250+ lbs. using a stretcher or stair chair with partner
• You can effectively communicate in both verbal and written English
• You are a safe driver with a clean driving record
• You can obtain a clean Criminal Record Search with Vulnerable Sector screening
• You have up to date immunization records and can provide the following records of: MMR, DPT, Polio, Varicella, Hepatitis B, COVID-19 (2 doses), TB Skin Test (Step 1) *must be valid within last 12 month.
• You have successfully completed High School or can provide proof of equivalency or post-secondary diploma
