Job summary

Priority Patient Transfer is hiring for Ottawa, ON as Full-Time Patient Transfer Attendants. You will transport patients by stretcher or wheelchair to and from healthcare facilities or residences, while delivering excellent customer service and clear communication.

Participants must hold First Responder or EMCA or be pursuing a Paramedic Diploma year 1, plus BLS and a valid G license. 12-hour shifts, training provided, and growth opportunities are offered.

Qualifications

• You have a valid First Responder Certification OR Advanced Emergency Medical Care Assistant Certification OR are working towards a Paramedic Diploma (must be finished year 1) OR are a Fire Fighter with Emergency Medical Responder Certification.
• You have a Valid BLS Certification (please note, we provide BLS training if needed).
• You possess a valid G class driving license.
• You have the ability to lift 250+ lbs. using a stretcher or stair chair with partner.
• You can effectively communicate in both verbal and written English.
• You are a safe driver with a clean driving record.
• You can obtain a clean criminal record search with vulnerable sector screening.
• You have up to date immunization records and can provide the following records of: MMR, DPT, Polio, Varicella, Hepatitis B, COVID-19 (2 doses), TB Skin Test (Step 1) *must be valid within last 12 month.
• You are comfortable with 12hrs shifts.
• You have night and weekend availability if requested.
