Job summary

ESC Corporate Services Ltd. is seeking a Bilingual Team Lead, Recovery in Etobicoke. You will lead the Recovery Representatives, provide expert guidance on procedures and legislation, and support Quebec operations with regional compliance guidance.

The role requires strong leadership, problem-solving, and the ability to train and coach staff in a fast-paced environment while ensuring regulatory compliance and exceptional service.

Qualifications

• Bilingual in French and English (spoken and written).
• Strong knowledge of Quebec recovery processes and applicable provincial legislation.
• Demonstrated proficiency in reading comprehension and basic mathematical skills, written and oral communication.
• Expert knowledge of provincial laws, legal terms related to repossession and liquidation of moveable assets.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical leadership and subject matter expertise to Recovery Representatives.
• Troubleshoot, report, and resolve escalated or complex recovery inquiries and issues.
• Supervise team in the absence of Recovery Manager, assign workflows and contribute to performance reviews.
• Lead training for new employees and deliver ongoing skill development.
• Coach team members to ensure high-quality work and customer service.

We are looking for a Bilingual Team Lead, Recovery, to help with our continued growth and contribute to our future.

In this role, you will provide day-to-day leadership, technical guidance, and operational support to the Recovery Representative team while delivering recovery services on behalf of ESC's customers. Reporting to the Recovery Manager, you will serve as a subject matter expert, helping resolve complex issues, support team development, and ensure high-quality customer service and operational excellence. The role includes dedicated responsibility for supporting Quebec operations, requiring expertise in Quebec-specific recovery processes and applicable provincial legislation to guide complex files, escalations, coaching, training, and compliant service delivery.

What you'll Do:

• Provide technical leadership and subject matter expertise to Recovery Representatives while also performing duties related to Recovery Services on behalf of ESC's customers.
• Troubleshoot, report, and deal with escalated and / or complex customer inquiries including complaints and other issues related to the Recovery services function
• In the absence of Recovery Manager, supervise team members including managing and assigning workflows, scheduling breaks, vacation and contribute to annual performance reviews by providing feedback to Recovery Management team.
• Handle complex and unique customer issues and transactions requiring research, analysis and interpretation of policy and legislation with an understanding of the practical implications to systems and delivery processes.
• Provide training to new employees as well as identifying and delivering additional training to grow current employee skillset.
• Informally lead, coach and support team members to ensure high quality work and customer service as well as successful change outcomes.
• Other similar tasks as required.

• Demonstrated proficiency in reading comprehension and basic mathematical skills, written and oral communication, excellent telephone etiquette and ability to think quickly on your feet.
• Expert knowledge of all provincial laws, legal terms, legal entities as it relates to the repossession and liquidation of moveable assets.
• Attention to detail, teamwork, problem solving, decision making, critical thinking, job task planning and organizing, computer use, continuous learning.
• Experience using Windows, General office equipment, Microsoft Outlook, Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, Internet Explorer
• Ability to work in a fast‑paced environment, work under pressure, tight deadlines
