NAV CANADA is seeking a Shift Scheduling Specialist to join our Eastern Canada team. This role focuses on maintaining critical coverage, adapting schedules, and ensuring efficient operations across our air traffic control and management services.

The successful candidate will be a creative problem-solver with 3+ years in employee scheduling, proficient in MS Word/Excel, and familiar with scheduling tools like Employee Scheduling System and Micros.

Qualifications

• Experience in employee scheduling and shift optimization.
• Proficiency with MS Word and Excel for reporting.
• Knowledge of automated scheduling tools such as Employee Scheduling System and Micros.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and review employee published schedules and shifts in a complex scheduling environment.
• Ensure compliance with applicable agreements and labor codes.
• Monitor schedules, identify deficiencies, and coordinate overtime with management.
• Establish and maintain overtime lists and distribute overtime equitably.
• Perform daily close-day verification between sign-in sheets and scheduling system.
• Prepare cost-effective options to minimize impact on ATS operations.
