Job summary

Cargojet is seeking a Crew Scheduler in the Cargojet Control Centre (CCC) to manage flight crewing for the YHM operations. Under general direction of the Manager, Crew Scheduling, you will coordinate schedules, monitor crewing needs, and arrange transport and accommodations as needed.

The role requires strong customer service, excellent communication, and proficiency in Microsoft Office. Experience with Canadian Aviation Regulations or scheduling software is an asset, and ability to work

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
• Knowledge of Canadian Aviation Regulations is an asset.
• Experience with scheduling software is an asset.
• Ability to work irregular hours and shifts.
• Ability to make decisions under pressure with minimal supervision.

Responsibilities

• Perform Crew Scheduling duties in the Cargojet YHM CMC operations for rotating shifts.
• Monitor operations to determine crewing needs and staffing implications.
• Arrange transport and hotel requirements during irregular operations.
• Staff short-notice charters and other non-planned flights if required.
• Responding to phone and email inquiries in a prompt, efficient and professional manner.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Under the general direction of the Manager, Crew Scheduling the successful candidate will function as a Crew Scheduler in the Cargojet Control Centre (CCC).

Job Duties & Responsibilities:

• Perform Crew Scheduling duties in the Cargojet YHM CMC operations for rotating shifts.
• Monitor operations to determine required adjustments to crewing needs and the effects on subsequent staffing requirements.
• Arrange transport and hotel requirements during irregular operations.
• Staff short-notice charters and other non-planned flights if required.
• Responding to phone and email inquires in a prompt, efficient and professional manner.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Job Requirements & Qualifications:

• Customer Service experience required.
• Previous flight operations experience an asset.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Must be proficient in Microsoft Office Applications (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.).
• Working knowledge of Canadian Aviation Regulations an asset.
• Working knowledge of VMO or other scheduling software an asset.
• Ability to work irregular hours and shift patterns.
• Ability to work well under time and resource constraints within a team environment.
• Ability to make crucial decisions under pressure with minimal supervision.
