Job summary

Cargojet is seeking a Crew Scheduler to support the Cargojet Control Centre (CCC) under the direction of the Manager, Crew Scheduling. The role involves coordinating crew rosters for rotating shifts across the YHM CMC operations and ensuring staffing aligns with fluctuating flight schedules.

The successful candidate will monitor crewing needs, arrange travel and lodging during irregular operations, and respond to inquiries promptly while maintaining safety and compliance in a fast-paced

Qualifications

• Customer Service experience required.
• Previous flight operations experience an asset.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Applications (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.).
• Working knowledge of Canadian Aviation Regulations an asset.
• Working knowledge of VMO or other scheduling software an asset.
• Ability to work irregular hours and shift patterns.
• Ability to work well under time and resource constraints within a team environment.
• Ability to make crucial decisions under pressure with minimal supervision.

Responsibilities

• Perform Crew Scheduling duties in the Cargojet YHM CMC operations for rotating shifts.
• Monitor operations to determine required adjustments to crewing needs and the effects on subsequent staffing requirements.
• Arrange transport and hotel requirements during irregular operations.
• Staff short-notice charters and other non-planned flights if required.
• Responding to phone and email inquiries in a prompt, efficient and professional manner.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
