Qualifications

  • Minimum of 3 years full cycle payroll experience.
  • Experience working in a multi-province payroll environment.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of legislation such as Employment Standards and CRA.

Job description

We want you to bring your exceptional skills and experience with you and join us as our newest Bilingual Payroll Specialist! In this role, you'll collaborate across departments, review, analyze, and verify payroll data, ensuring compliance with legislative requirements. You'll build strong relationships across departments and help identify opportunities to streamline and enhance payroll processes.

This position is open to candidates located anywhere in Canada.

What Will You Be Doing?
  1. Collaborating with payroll team members and internal collaborators to process the payroll in a timely, accurate, and efficient manner.
  2. Reviewing, analyzing, and verifying payroll reports and documents for accuracy; making necessary adjustments or corrections through journal entries or other established procedures.
  3. Confirming data accuracy and maintaining appropriate controls for audit verification.
  4. Maintaining Canadian compliance for legislation and CRA rules (Canadian provincial legislation policies, CRA, and SC mandates).
  5. Developing effective relationships across all organizational levels.
  6. Identifying and implementing process improvements.
As The Successful Candidate, You Have:
  1. Bilingualism (French & English) is required to communicate daily with team members across Canada.
  2. A minimum of 3 years full cycle payroll experience.
  3. Completion of the National Payroll Institute Certification Program and designation (PCP/PLP).
  4. Experience working in a multi-province payroll environment, managing payroll for 1000+ employees.
  5. Demonstrated knowledge of legislation (Employment Standards, WCB, Privacy Act, CRA, Service Canada, etc.).
  6. Superior computer skills, including payroll systems and Excel (UKG considered an asset).
