Job summary

Intact is seeking Personal Lines auto claims adjusters who have passed the AMF exams or are in the process of doing so. Location options include Montreal, Laval, Quebec City and Saint-Hyacinthe with a 9am–5pm, 35-hour workweek.

Open new claims by phone, interview insureds and witnesses, evaluate policy coverage, determine liability and settle claims fairly. Bilingual English-French candidates are preferred as we serve diverse clients.

Qualifications

• Claims adjuster licence and successful completion of exams.
• Experience in a similar position is preferred.
• Strong time-management and organizational skills.
• Excellent oral and written communication, bilingual English-French.

Responsibilities

• Open new claims over the phone with customers and ensure timely handling.
• Interview insureds and witnesses to gather accounts.
• Determine coverage by analyzing policy details.
• Analyze information, make liability decisions and review damage assessments.
• Settle claims fairly and process payments.
