Job summary

Echelon Insurance is seeking a Claims Adjuster to investigate, evaluate and settle Personal and Commercial lines claims. Reporting to the Claims Supervisor, you will handle inquiries, assess coverage and liability, and coordinate settlements with vendors.

The role requires a college certificate and AMF permit, with a minimum of 2 years of claims adjusting experience. Bilingual English and French communication is essential to serve clients and partners across Canada.

Qualifications

• College certificate and AMF personal/commercial lines permit.
• Minimum of 2 years of claims-adjusting experience.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Bilingual English and French communication is required.

Responsibilities

• Handle inquiries by phone, fax, letter, and email for personal and commercial claims.
• Investigate and evaluate claims to determine coverage, damages, and liability.
• Review policy conditions, provisions, exclusions and endorsements relevant to losses.
• Appoint vendors and manage settlements within authority levels.
• Process payments or denials according to policy and guidelines.
• Maintain claim reserves and document files in the claims system.
• Advise Underwriting of information that may affect risk assessment.
• Travel may be required.
