Job summary

Intact is seeking Personal Lines auto claims adjusters who have passed the AMF exams or plan to do so. Location options include Montreal, Laval, Quebec City or Saint-Hyacinthe, with a 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. schedule and a 35-hour week.

You will open new claims by phone, interview insureds or witnesses, assess coverage, liability and damages, and settle claims fairly while upholding our customer-focused standards and compliance requirements.

Qualifications

• Bilingual (English-French) with intermediate English required; regularly handle English-speaking files.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Strong time-management and organizational abilities.

Responsibilities

• Open new claims over the phone with customers and ensure immediate handling.
• Interview insureds and witnesses to gather accounts of events.
• Determine coverage by analyzing policy details and assess liability.
• Analyze information, make liability decisions, and review damage assessments.
• Settle claims fairly and issue payments.
