Job summary

Echelon Insurance, a member of the CAA Club Group family, is seeking a Claims Adjuster to investigate, evaluate and settle personal and commercial lines claims. You will manage inquiries across phone, email, and letters, assess coverage, damages and liability, and coordinate with vendors to support settlements.

The role requires a college certificate with AMF licenses, at least 2 years in claims adjusting, and solid English-French communication.

Qualifications

• College certificate required.
• Personal lines and commercial lines AMF permit required.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in claims adjusting.
• Bilingual in English and French (intermediate English) mandatory.

Responsibilities

• Attend to inquiries by telephone, fax, letter and email for personal and commercial lines claims.
• Investigate and evaluate claims to determine coverage, damages and settlement.
• Review policy conditions, exclusions and endorsements related to losses.
• Appoint vendors (appraisers, adjusters, contractors, lawyers) per guidelines.
• Process payments or denials within authority levels and guidelines.
• Flag files above authority to supervisor with reserves and resolutions.
• Direct and guide external vendors for effective investigation and recovery.
• Maintain timely claim reserves and document file particulars.
• Inform Underwriting of information affecting risk assessment.
• Meet objectives for service and performance.
