Job summary

Fairmont Chateau Whistler is seeking a Deli Attendant / Barista for our Portobello outlet. Seasonal full-time roles start Oct 2026 and run through Apr/May 2027, offering a warm, guest-centric service experience in a high-volume setting.

Starting wage is 18.80 CAD per hour, with increases after six months and again at three years, reaching 23.45 CAD; benefits include subsidized staff accommodation, complimentary meals, and access to the Employee Travel Program.

Qualifications

• Previous barista and/or deli experience in a high-volume environment is required.
• Must hold a Serving it Right Certificate.
• Previous POS system experience is an asset but not required.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist guests regarding menu items with expert knowledge of ingredients.
• Maintain cleanliness and upkeep of deli, take-out window and seating area.
• Make hot beverages and ensure consistent quality.
• Create specialty coffees.
• Replenish bakery items as required.

As a Deli Attendant / Barista, your warm, personal attention and knowledge of our outstanding Food & Beverage offerings makes guests to our Portobello outlet feel unique and valued.

These arefull-time, seasonalpositions. We have roles beginning inOctober, November, and December 2026, and ending inApril/May 2027.

Starting Rate of Pay:$18.80 per hour

We recognize tenure through our compensation - hourly rates increase after 6 months and then yearly to three years. At three years the pay rate for this role would be $23.45.

Job Duties Include:

• Assist guests regarding menu items in an informative and helpful way with expert knowledge of all ingredients, etc.
• Maintain overall cleanliness and maintenance of deli, take-out window and seating area
• Responsible for making hot beverages and ensuring consistent quality is upheld
• Create specialty coffees
• Replenish bakery items as required in a timely manner

Qualifications

• Previous barista and/or deli experience in a high volume environment is required
• Must hold a Serving it Right Certificate
• Previous point of sale system experience an asset, but not required
• Excellent communication and organizational skills
