Job summary

Fairmont Chateau Whistler, nestled at the base of Blackcomb Mountain, is seeking a Houseperson to support the Housekeeping team and ensure guest rooms are well equipped and welcoming.

This full-time, seasonal role runs October 2026 through May 2027. Starting pay is $21.65 per hour, with increases after six months and at three years.

Houseperson

At Fairmont Chateau Whistler, an exceptional guest experience begins before check-in, and extends throughout every stay. As a Houseperson, the organizational support you provide to the Housekeeping team will ensure our guest rooms are well equipped and welcoming.

This is a full-time, seasonal role. We are looking for candidates to start in October 2026, ending in May 2027.

Starting Rate of Pay: $21.65 per hour.

We recognize tenure through our compensation - hourly rates increase after 6 months and then yearly to three years. At three years the pay rate for this role would be $28.40.

• Attend to guests' requests for extra supplies
• Stock linenand supplyareas
• Clean and disinfect public areas such as hallways, washrooms, changing rooms, showers and elevators
• Pick up debris and empty trash containers
• Report and store lost and found items
• To respond to all Housekeeping and Royal Service calls, which includes guest deliveries and requests.
• To assist the Room Attendants in bringing them required supplies.

Qualifications

• Previous guest service and/or Housekeeping experience is an asset.
• Must be physically fit and able to carry/move heavy loads – up to 50 pounds.
• Previous cleaning experience is an asset.
