Job summary

Capilano Golf and Country Club in West Vancouver, BC is seeking part-time, seasonal banquet servers to join our Food and Beverage team. You will take and relay orders, accurately enter them in the POS, and serve members and guests with a focus on guest satisfaction.

Previous hospitality experience is an asset, and a Serving It Right certificate is preferred. We are a non-tipping facility with higher wages, and flexibility to work all shifts, weekends and holidays is valued.

Qualifications

• Service orientation for high-expectation guests.
• Clear communication with members, guests and staff.
• Problem-solving to resolve issues quickly.
• Ability to deliver great service in a fast-paced setting.
• Flexible schedule including weekends and holidays.
• Ability to take direction and work independently.
• Serving It Right certification is required.
• Age 19+ for serving alcohol.

Responsibilities

• Take and relay food and beverage orders.

We are seeking part-time, seasonal banquet servers to join our Food and Beverage team. This position reports to the Banquet Manager.

A wonderful perk in serving a membership is the opportunity to provide personalized service and build great relationships. With over five outlets in our F&B department, there are opportunities for skill development and education.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Taking and relaying food and beverage orders.
• Accurately entering orders in the POS system.
• Communicating with the kitchen.
• Serving food and beverage to members and guests.
• Checking on guest satisfaction.
• Handling complaints and concerns of members and guests.
• Providing food and beverage product knowledge.
• Using proper serving techniques.
• Monitoring patrons for intoxication and arranging taxi service when appropriate.

We are a non-tipping facility, offering higher wages in place of gratuities.

Transportation to our location is difficult. Employees need ample time if relying on public transit or their own vehicles.
