Job summary

Capilano Golf and Country Club in West Vancouver invites applications for seasonal, part-time server positions within our Food & Beverage Team. You will take orders, serve members and guests, and help ensure exceptional service across multiple outlets.

Responsibilities

• Take and relay food and beverage orders accurately.

• Check guest satisfaction and handle concerns professionally.
• Provide product knowledge to guests and apply proper serving techniques.
• Monitor patrons for intoxication and arrange taxi service when needed.

We are seeking seasonal, part‑time servers to join our Food & Beverage Team. This position reports to the Restaurant Manager.

A wonderful perk in serving a membership is the opportunity to provide personalized service and build great relationships. With over five outlets in our F&B department, there are opportunities for skill development and education.

Previous hospitality experience is an asset.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Taking and relaying food and beverage orders.
• Accurately entering orders in the POS system.
• Communicating with the kitchen.
• Serving food and beverage to members and guests.
• Checking on guest satisfaction.
• Handling complaints and concerns of members and guests.
• Providing food and beverage product knowledge.
• Using proper serving techniques.
• Monitoring patrons for intoxication and arranging taxi service when appropriate.

Qualifications and Skills Requirements

• Service orientation - comfortable helping customers with high expectations.
• Good communication skills - confident speaking with members, guests and colleagues.
• Problem solver - ability to understand and resolve issues.
• Ability to provide great customer service in a fast‑paced environment.
• Flexible schedule, with the ability to work all shifts, weekends and holidays.
• Ability to take direction and work unsupervised.
• Serving it Right certificate.
• Age 19+ for serving alcohol.

We are a non‑tipping facility, offering higher wages in place of gratuities.

Transportation to our location is difficult. Employees need ample time if relying on public transit or their own vehicles.
