Job summary

Carmens Group is seeking a Banquet Server to support weddings, corporate events, and celebrations at The Arlington Hotel & River’s Edge in Paris, Ontario. This part-time, permanent role offers minimum wage plus gratuities and opportunities to grow within a respected hospitality family.

Qualifications

• Experience in banquet, catering, restaurant, or other high-volume hospitality environments.
• A positive attitude, strong work ethic, and willingness to assist wherever needed.
• Strong communication skills and confidence working with both guests and team members.
• The ability to stay organized and composed in busy event settings.
• A guest-first mindset and genuine passion for creating memorable experiences.
• Smart Serve Certification is an asset.
• Flexibility to work weekdays, evenings, weekends, and event-based schedules.

Responsibilities

• Welcome guests and provide friendly, professional service.
• Serve food and beverages while maintaining presentation and service standards.
• Learn each event’s menu, timeline, and service plan.
• Communicate dietary restrictions and special requests with the kitchen team.
• Clear and reset tables, restock supplies, and maintain clean service areas.
• Assist with banquet setup and service stations as needed.
• Follow the direction of the Banquet Supervisor to support smooth event execution.
• Work collaboratively with the banquet team to anticipate guest needs and create memorable experiences.
• Perform other duties as assigned to support banquet operations.

What You Will Be Doing:

As a Banquet Server, you will help bring weddings, corporate events, and special celebrations to life by providing attentive service and genuine hospitality throughout each event.
