Job summary

The Arlington Hotel & River’s Edge in Paris, Ontario, part of Carmens Group, is seeking a Banquet Server. You will help bring weddings, corporate events, and celebrations to life with attentive service and genuine hospitality.

This part-time role offers minimum wage plus gratuities, flexible weekday, evening, weekend, and event-based shifts, and opportunities to grow within our hospitality family. Experience in high-volume service and a guest-first mindset are valued; Smart Serve is an asset.

• Experience in banquet, catering, restaurant or high-volume hospitality environments.
• Strong communication skills and a guest-first mindset.
• Ability to stay organized and composed during busy events.

Responsibilities

• Welcome guests and provide friendly, professional service.
• Serve food and beverages while maintaining standards.
• Learn each event’s menu, timeline, and service plan.
• Communicate dietary restrictions with the kitchen team.
• Clear and reset tables, restock supplies, and maintain areas.
• Assist with banquet setup and service stations as needed.
• Follow direction of Banquet Supervisor to support events.
• Work with the banquet team to create memorable experiences.
• Perform other duties to support banquet operations.

What You Will Be Doing:

As a Banquet Server, you will help bring weddings, corporate events, and special celebrations to life by providing attentive service and genuine hospitality throughout each event.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Welcome guests and provide friendly, professional service
• Serve food and beverages while maintaining presentation and service standards
• Learn each event’s menu, timeline, and service plan
• Communicate dietary restrictions and special requests with the kitchen team
• Clear and reset tables, restock supplies, and maintain clean service areas
• Assist with banquet setup and service stations as needed
• Follow the direction of the Banquet Supervisor to support smooth event execution
• Work collaboratively with the banquet team to anticipate guest needs and create memorable experiences
• Perform other duties as assigned to support banquet operations
