Solotech in Canada seeks an AV technician to ensure rooms operate smoothly, monitor tech, and support webcasts. You will respond to clients' needs courteously and build strong relationships, acting as a strategic advisor.

The role requires electronics background and 3+ years of experience with AV gear. Ideal candidates will know networking, home automation basics, video conferencing tools, and MS Office, and possess a valid driver's license with willingness for flexible hours and travel between

Qualifications

• DEC or DEP in electronics or equivalent required.
• Minimum 3 years of relevant experience in a similar position.
• Knowledge of sound, video projection and lighting equipment at consumer and commercial level.
• Must hold a valid driver’s license for travel between locations.
• Willing to work atypical hours depending on project needs.

Responsibilities

• Ensure proper functioning of rooms and perform technical monitoring and webcasts.
• Respond to clients' technical needs promptly and courteously.
• Develop relationships with clients and act as a strategic advisor.
• Document work in the ticketing tool and update internal documentation.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure the best possible customer service.
• Find replacement solutions to keep systems functional during equipment failures.
