Job summary

F&P Mfg., Inc. in Tottenham, Ontario seeks a Technical Services – Metalforming (Designing) Co-op (January to April 2027).

You will create and modify 2D/3D CAD models for tooling, components, and assemblies using AutoCAD and Inventor, and support engineering projects from design through implementation. Ideal candidates are enrolled in Electrical, Mechanical, Robotics, or Welding-related studies with knowledge of FANUC/Panasonic robotics and Omron/Mitsubishi PLCs, and can read drawings and

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in Electrical, Mechanical, Robotics, or Welding-related studies.
• Basic knowledge of robotics (FANUC, Panasonic), PLCs (Omron, Mitsubishi), hydraulics, pneumatics, and cooling systems.
• Strong mechanical and electrical knowledge.
• Proficient in AutoCAD and Autodesk Inventor; able to read and create drawings, schematics, and layouts.
• Able to support projects from design through implementation and troubleshooting.
• Strong communication and documentation skills.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Teams, and Project.
• Able to lift 40+ lbs. occasionally and follow all workplace safety/PPE requirements.

Responsibilities

• Create and modify 2D/3D CAD models for tooling, components, and assemblies using AutoCAD and Inventor.
• Support engineering projects, part modifications, automation, and production-line improvements.
• Prepare detailed drawings with tolerances, materials, and manufacturing notes.
• Collaborate with shop-floor technicians to troubleshoot design and equipment issues.
• Support equipment uptime and other assigned engineering/maintenance tasks.
• Other duties as required
