Job summary

CARSTAR Fort McMurray is seeking a Customer Service Representative to join our body shop team in Fort McMurray, Alberta. You will greet customers, handle calls, direct inquiries, and provide essential administrative support to the shop staff.

The right candidate is friendly, organized and detail-oriented, able to multitask in a fast-paced collision repair setting, and committed to delivering a welcoming customer experience.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in customer service, reception, administrative support, or the automotive/autobody industry is preferred.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Professional and friendly demeanor with a strong commitment to customer service.
• Ability to multitask and effectively manage a busy reception area, phone calls, and customer traffic.
• Proficiency with phone systems, computers, and Microsoft Office applications (Outlook, Word, Excel).
• Strong organizational and time management skills.
• Experience in automotive collision repair or body shop operations is considered an asset.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers warmly and professionally as they arrive at the body shop.
• Answer and direct incoming phone calls using a multiline phone system.
• Assist customers by directing them to the appropriate team member or department.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming reception area.
• Provide general information regarding collision repair services, estimates, repair processes, and business hours.
• Schedule appointments and assist with customer inquiries regarding vehicle repairs and claim-related processes.
• Log customer visits and inquiries and notify staff of customer arrivals.
• Assist with administrative duties including filing, data entry, scanning, and distributing mail.
• Support the body shop team by coordinating customer messages, follow‑up requests, and documentation.
• Maintain confidentiality and professionalism in all customer interactions.
• Uphold CARSTAR Summit Bodyshop standards for customer service, presentation, and professionalism.
• Perform all other duties as assigned by leadership.
