RSM is looking for a dynamic Supervisor to join our assurance team. You will have the opportunity to work as a team member on diverse client engagements as part of our national and local practice. RSM\'s assurance professionals help companies improve their performance through the most challenging business cycles.

Responsibilities
  • Provide timely, high quality client service that meets or exceeds client expectations including coordinating audits, review engagements, and compilations of financial statements, related disclosures, and other client deliverables (including corporate income tax, personal income tax and trust income tax)
  • Develop an understanding of the client\'s business and needs, and become an industry specialist to understand client specific needs
  • Understand and utilize RSM\'s review, compilation, and audit methodology
  • Supervise Audit Associates and Seniors on engagement teams and function as an in-charge facilitating field work by monitoring and reporting regarding productivity and adherence to work plan schedules on each assignment
  • Anticipate and address client concerns and escalate issues as they arise
  • Interact with clients to help ensure the information flow from the client to the audit team is efficient
  • Identify and communicate accounting and auditing matters to Managers and Partners
  • Identify performance improvement opportunities
  • Recognize and inform management of opportunities to increase types of services to clients
  • Ensure professional development through ongoing education
  • Willingness to travel 25% of the year, depending on your clients
Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor of Commerce (Accounting) degree or equivalent degree from an accredited university
  • 4+ years of current or recent experience in a public accounting environment
  • Minimum of 2 years of team lead or in-charge experience overseeing staff on multiple engagements
  • Understanding of audit services with knowledge of ASPE and GAAS regulations
  • CPA Certification in good standing or demonstrated progress towards obtaining CPA certification, including required coursework
  • A proven record of building profitable, sustainable client relationships
  • A successful record of directing and deploying staff and senior associates on multiple, simultaneous engagement
  • Supervising substantive testing and analytical-review procedures as well as documentation of internal control systems

The salary range (or starting rate for interns and associates) for this role represents numerous factors considered in the hiring decisions including, but not limited to, education, skills, work experience, certifications, location, etc. As such, pay for the successful candidate(s) could fall anywhere within the stated range.

Compensation Range: $67,500 - $107,500

Individuals selected for this role will be eligible for a discretionary bonus based on firm and individual performance.
