$130,000 CAD / year

Duties
- Providing professional veterinary services in accordance with the policies of the Practice and the highest standards of the veterinary profession
- Consulting with animal owners and subsequent diagnosis and implementation of a treatment or surgical protocol
- Supervision of lay staff
- Planning and coordinating efforts of others to ensure that the Hospital remains profitable while ensuring the highest quality veterinary services are provided
- Performing all the usual functions of a veterinary practitioner
- Remaining accountable for client cases for which they have carriage including, but not limited to routine therapeutic procedures, veterinary surgery, patient records management, post-operative observation, accurate client billing, and case reviews with the Medical Director or his/her designate
- Attending client and community events organized by the company as they occur from time-to-time
- Maintaining his/her professional standards by participating in continuing education matters as requested by and approved by the Employer
- Ensuring work is carried out in a safe and effective manner
- Contributing to a work environment based on mutual trust and respect
Requirements
- 4-5 year university degree in veterinary medicine (as well as any required pre-veterinary studies for the university program, if applicable)
- Completion of national certification examinations or equivalent are required
- Provincial Licensing in Ontario is required or ability to obtain
- A strong desire to educate and build solid relationships with clients
- Solid communication skills, both with dealing with clients and interpersonal relationships
- Ability to work on-call rotations, evenings and weekends
