We are looking for a motivated and highly professional candidate to join our team in Toronto.

The Associate, Business Development, within our Investment Services Team, helps capture new business across our multi-channel distribution platform, including High Net Worth, private wealth, family office, foundation, endowment, pension, and the consultant channels.

As an Associate, Business Development, you will be the initial point of contact in introducing the company's investment strategies, products, and solutions to potential clients. You will play a key role in driving the growth of our business by generating new business opportunities through outreach methods such as networking, marketing, cold calling, emailing, and relationship building.

Main Responsibilities
  1. Research, build relationships, and develop a pipeline of opportunities through outbound prospecting via phone calls, emails, social media, and other means.
  2. Qualify inbound leads and manage the initial stages of the sales pipeline.
  3. Conduct research to identify potential prospects and decision-makers within targeted accounts.
  4. Work with the Investment Services/Business Development team to develop proposals that address client needs and objectives.
  5. Set up meetings and appointments for the Senior Business Development team with qualified leads.
  6. Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of activities in our CRM system.
  7. Collaborate with internal teams to develop and implement lead-generation strategies.
  8. Provide feedback to improve products, services, and processes.
  9. Stay informed about industry trends and best practices.
  10. Participate in weekly sales and business development meetings.
  11. Perform other related tasks as assigned by the supervisor.
Required Profile
  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration or related discipline.
  • Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in business development within the insurance, banking, or financial industry.
