As an Assistant Team Leader, you'll work alongside the management team to keep daily store operations running smoothly — from stocking shelves and handling shipments to providing customer service and carrying out opening and closing duties. It's a hands-on role that blends floor work with leadership responsibilities.

About the Role: Assistant Team Leader

In this position, you'll be an active part of the store's day-to-day operations. You'll help manage staff, oversee daily tasks, and make sure the store meets Dollarama's presentation and safety standards. Your leadership will directly impact both the team's performance and the customer experience.

The role also includes manager-on-duty responsibilities, such as tracking attendance, ensuring breaks are taken, and handling cash management as needed. You'll play a key part in employee training and contribute to a positive, compliant store environment.

Responsibilities

As an Assistant Team Leader at Dollarama, your day will involve a mix of floor-level tasks and supervisory duties. You'll keep operations moving efficiently while supporting both the management team and your fellow store associates.

• Assist the management team in managing store operations and staff on a daily basis
• Stock products on shelves in compliance with Dollarama's presentation standards
• Process daily shipments, including boxing and unboxing merchandise
• Provide quality customer service and resolve customer issues as they arise
• Ensure compliance with store safety and cleanliness standards
• Conduct manager-on-duty tasks, including confirming breaks are taken and entering attendance records
• Perform cash management, as well as store opening and closing duties as needed
• Participate in the employee training process to support team development

Requirements / Skills
