The Assistant Store Manager will oversee store programs, delegating tasks, supervising staff, and managing time and resources to ensure smooth operations and staffing coverage. The role includes overseeing opening/closing procedures, sales flow, inventory control, and compliance with safety policies.

Formación

• 2 years management experience in fast-paced retail
• 2-3 years retail home improvement industry experience
• Knowledge of retail merchandising, operations and management practices
• Experience selecting, coaching, developing associates in retail
• Strong organizational and communication skills
• Proficient with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel & Outlook)
• Bachelor's degree in business or related field is an asset
• Flexibility to work days, evenings, weekends and holidays

Responsabilidades

• Clearly communicate sales objectives to all team members daily
• Motivate and influence sales performance with positive feedback and recognition
• Builds strong relationships with retail, professional, and contractor customers
• Processes sales and special orders for retail, professional, and contractor customers
• Identify potential sources of inventory losses and implement corrective measures
• Encourage team to provide excellent customer service and consistent experience
• Participates in regular professional development and training
