Job summary

Lids Sports Group in Winnipeg, Manitoba, is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to lead daily store operations and drive sales. You will mentor staff, ensure great customer experiences, and uphold brand standards across merchandising, staffing, and loss prevention.

As the heart of the store, you will schedule, train, and supervise team members, manage KPIs, and deliver on company goals while maintaining a welcoming, inclusive environment for customers and colleagues.

Qualifications

• Experience driving sales and minimizing losses in a retail setting.
• Strong verbal communication and customer service skills.
• Ability to lead a team and operate with minimal supervision.

Responsibilities

• Act as Manager on duty for scheduling issues and customer concerns.
• Manage store associates using LIDS training programs and goals.
• Administer discipline with verbal and written warnings in absence of Store Manager.
• Engage team to create a productive, fun environment aligned with company objectives.
• Recruit and train store personnel on operations and procedures.
• Ensure compliance with policies and protect company assets.
• Open and close store; manage staffing and tasks.
