Job summary

Daily Thread in Manitoba is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to drive sales and customer satisfaction across our retail locations. The ASM shapes store strategy aligned with our values, oversees opening/closing procedures, inventory control, and visual merchandising.

You will coach and develop the team, set performance expectations, and ensure a welcoming shopping experience while maintaining security and housekeeping standards.

Qualifications

• Prior retail management experience, ideally with 1+ years in Assistant Manager responsibilities.
• Results-oriented with a strong sales focus and ability to coach team members.
• Positive, high-energy, engaging personality; proactive in guiding customers.
• Strong verbal and written communication; proficient with POS and office tools.
• Ability to lift up to 40 pounds; comfortable with ladders and stockroom layout.

Responsibilities

• Achieve personal and store sales goals and develop sales skills among the team.
• Develop and implement sales strategies to enhance revenue and customer experience.
• Collect and manage client information including contact details.
• Identify customer needs and address concerns promptly.
• Maintain merchandising standards and store layout; ensure housekeeping.
• Operate POS, CRM, and inventory management tools effectively.
• Adhere to loss prevention policies and operational procedures.
