Job summary

SPIER & MACKAY in Heartland Mississauga is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to deliver stellar customer service daily. You will help organize store operations, manage inventory, and coach staff to meet sales goals.

The role requires strong leadership, excellent communication, and hands-on experience in a fast-paced menswear environment; familiarity with POS systems and retail management best practices is preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Retail and/or sales experience is a major plus.
• Computer literate with POS systems experience.
• Thrives in a fast-paced team environment.

• Outstanding communication and leadership abilities.

Responsibilities

• Assist in organizing all store operations and allocate responsibilities to personnel.
• Assist in maintaining and managing inventory stock levels.
• Assist in managing store appearance and daily upkeep.
• Assist in managing alterations department to ensure on-time, correct alterations and department efficiency.
• Hire and train additional staff as required.
• Supervise, motivate and guide staff toward maximum performance and sales goals.
• Monitor stock levels and purchases and ensure they stay within budget.
• Manage issues and/or complaints from customers for quick, satisfactory resolution.
• Inspect store areas and resolve any issues that arise.
• Determine needs for areas of improvement in the store.
• Manage budgets and sales targets.
