Jay's Transportation Group Ltd. in Regina is seeking an Assistant General Manager for its Moving Division. This role will support the General Manager in planning and operations, monitor sales activities, and oversee dispatch and home delivery.

The ideal candidate is a self-motivated and customer-focused individual with strong leadership potential, excellent organisational and communication skills, and a valid Class 5 driver’s licence. The position provides a supportive team environment and opportunities for long-term career development.

Responsibilities

Responsibilities:

• Support the General Manager in leading all planning, operations, and performance of the moving division.
• Monitor receivables, review sales activity, and assist with collections and revenue performance.
• Provide guidance to the sales team, assist with quoting, and lead planning for large or complex moves.
• Oversee long‑haul dispatch, home delivery, and warehousing operations.
• Hire, train, and coach managers and sales staff to maintain strong team performance.
• Handle high‑priority customer concerns.
• Travel to other Jays branches as required.

Qualifications:

• Outgoing, self‑motivated, customer‑focused individual with leadership potential.
• Must have a valid Class 5 driver’s licence with an acceptable driver abstract.
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office and strong communication skills.
• Strong organisational and time‑management skills.
• Willingness to learn and adapt to operational needs (flexible hours and days as required).
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Previous experience in the household moving industry would be an asset, but is not required.
