Job summary

Metis Nation—Saskatchewan is seeking an Assistant Center Supervisor in Prince Albert to help oversee a newly licensed 90-space Early Learning Centre. You will support staff management, programming, and a Métis curriculum in a safe, enriching environment for children.

The role requires ECE level 3, 2+ years supervising 10-15+ staff, and collaboration with MN-S teams. A driver’s license, Criminal Record Check, and 10% travel are required, with annual salary starting at CAD 58,366.

Qualifications

• ECE Level 3 required.
• 2 years supervising 10-15+ employees, trainees and volunteers.
• Knowledge of Métis culture and experience working with Métis people would be an asset.
• CPR-C and First Aid.
• Food Safe is an asset.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily operations of the Early Learning Centre, including budgeting, scheduling, and enrollment.
• Foster a positive, inclusive work environment and manage staff issues.
• Assist in implementing the Métis Curriculum with play-based and exploratory learning.
• Coordinate with MN-S Early Learning and Childcare for updates and reports.
• Maintain relationships with families through clear communication.
• Collaborate with MN-S staff, Citizens, and contractors to support program delivery.
• Represent the MN-S Early Learning Centre at community events.
• Supervise, support, and evaluate staff performance and programming.
• Ensure compliance with policies and childcare regulations.
• Address parent concerns professionally and promptly.
• Support enrollment and ensure documentation is complete.
• Maintain facility and program records.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.
