Job summary

Summary

The Assistant Boutique Manager supports the Boutique Manager in the day-to-day management of the sales team and ensures the highest level of customer service and commercial performance. The role focuses on maximizing sales and client development, coaching and training associates, merchandising the boutique, and overseeing inventory and store opening/closing procedures. The Assistant Manager helps enforce company policies and security standards to protect assets and ensure efficient operations.

Responsibilities

• Drive commercial performance by maximizing sales, monitoring conversion rates, and supporting sales goals.
• Coach, train, schedule, and develop sales associates to achieve clienteling and sales objectives.
• Participate in merchandise displays, visual presentation, and daily floor merchandising activities.
• Manage clientele development initiatives, promotions, trunk shows, and after-sale capture activities.
• Oversee product and stock management including transfers, damages, returns-to-vendor, pricing, and inventory counts.
• Ensure compliance with company policies, cash handling, security procedures, and store opening/closing protocols.
• Support communication between management and associates and assist in solving operational issues.

Requirements

• Minimum 5 years of retail experience, preferably with at least 1 year of management in a luxury product setting.
• Strong knowledge of the luxury industry and fashion sensitivity with commercial initiative and creativity.
• Ability to work varied hours including nights, weekends, and holidays; availability to open and/or close the store.
• Capacity to maintain presence on the selling floor for extended periods and deliver outstanding customer service.
• Excellent interpersonal, communication, organizational, and follow-through skills.
• Ability to operate POS systems, PC, phone systems, cash register, sensor-tag remover, and other necessary equipment.
