Eataly in Toronto is seeking a Bread Baker to produce breads, focaccia, and pizzas overnight, ensuring daily service readiness. You will follow authentic Italian recipes, maintain a clean production area, and support team collaboration across shifts.

The role requires 1+ year baking experience, basic math, and a strong work ethic. Ability to lift 50 pounds and work flexible overnights, evenings, and weekends is essential.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 1+ year of experience in a baker preparation position.
• Basic math and measuring skills.
• Good work ethic, communication and time management skills.
• Post-secondary culinary program highly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepares and bakes artisanal breads, focaccia, and pizzas during overnight production to ensure readiness for daily service.
• Mixes, ferments, proofs, and bakes doughs according to established recipes and production schedules.
• Assists with pizza preparation and dough mixing as needed.
• Maintains a clean and sanitary production area in compliance with Department of Health standards.
• Works towards mastering all stages of overnight bakery and pizza production.
• Collaborates closely with the team to ensure consistency, efficiency, and product quality across shifts.
• Assists Sales Associates when needed and engages with guests interested in learning about bread and pizza production.
• Performs other duties as required or assigned.
