Job summary

Eataly is seeking a Pizza Maker to produce roman-style pizza alla pala in our on-site kitchen, following our authentic Italian recipes. You will work under the Bakery & Pala Lead, prep pizzas, maintain cleanliness, assist guests, and strive to master all shifts in pizza production, including evenings and weekends.

Candidate must have 1+ year back-of-house production experience, strong work ethic, and ability to lift up to 50 pounds while operating wood-burning ovens, electric pizza ovens,

• Good work ethic, communication and time management skills.

• Complies with portion sizes, quality standards, department rules, policies and procedures.

Job Description

A Pizza Maker is responsible for producing roman-style pizza alla pala in accordance with our authentic Italian recipes. Reports to the Bakery & Pala Lead.

• Prepares pizzas according to specific recipes
• Complies with all portion sizes, quality standards, department rules, policies and procedures
• Maintains a clean and sanitary food production area according to Department of Health standards
• Works towards mastering all shifts in pizza production
• Assists Sales Associates if needed and engages with guests interested in learning about pizza production
• Performs other duties as required or assigned

Qualifications

• 1+ year of experience in a back of house production position

Job Requirements

• Availability to work onsite with a flexible, open schedule often including evenings and weekends preferred
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
• Ability to exert well-paced mobility for at least 8 hours, including standing, walking, bending and squatting
• Ability to work with a wood burning oven, electric pizza convection oven and commercial spiral mixer

Compensation

• Compensation for this role is CAD $19.00-$21.00hourly
