Eataly Eaton Centre in Toronto is seeking an Overnight Bread Baker to join its 24-hour bakery team. You will produce artisanal breads, focaccia, and pizzas following authentic Italian recipes and ensure readiness for daily service.

The role requires 1+ year in a baker prep position, basic math skills, and the ability to lift up to 50 pounds. Availability to work overnight, evenings and weekends on-site is essential.

Competenze

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 1+ year of experience in a baker preparation position.
• Basic math and measuring skills.
• Good work ethic, communication and time management skills.
• Post-secondary culinary program highly preferred.

Mansioni

• Prepares and bakes artisanal breads, focaccia, and pizzas during overnight production to ensure readiness for daily service.
• Mixes, ferments, proofs, and bakes doughs according to established recipes and production schedules.
• Assists with pizza preparation and dough mixing as needed.
• Maintains a clean and sanitary production area in compliance with Department of Health standards.
• Works towards mastering all stages of overnight bakery and pizza production.
• Collaborates closely with the team to ensure consistency, efficiency, and product quality across shifts.
• Assists Sales Associates when needed and engages with guests interested in learning about bread and pizza production.
• Performs other duties as required or assigned.

Job Description

In Eataly's 24-hour operating bakery, a Bread Baker is responsible for producing delicious bread and focaccia in accordance with our authentic Italian recipes. Reports to the Bakery & Pala Lead.

• Prepares and bakesartisanal breads, focaccia, and pizzas during overnight production to ensure readiness for daily service.
• Mixes, ferments, proofs, and bakes doughs according to established recipes and production schedules.
• Assists with pizza preparation and dough mixing as needed.
• Maintains a clean and sanitary production area in compliance with Department of Health standards.
• Works towards mastering all stages of overnightbakery and pizza production.

Compensation

• Compensation for this role is CAD $20-22 hourly
